Hello everyone,
I want to try mac os x.
But don't want to buy a mac.
Do you have any experiences installing mac on intel x86 pc?
I found lots of guides, so I think, It'll work, but do you tried it before?
Are there any problems - with sound etc?
Since macs are intel based hardware, and pc's can have a wide variety of different types other than macs, you may have some issues. On a more legal note, it is illegal to install mac osx on any pc. It can be done, but it is illegal. I didn't know this until I had talked to my buddy who deals with macs and this is what he told me. This is quite stupid, so don't let this hold you back. However, there are some mac emulation programs such as pear pc, but I think this is inaccessible. I know my friend shaun uses one but forget what it is called.

It can be done, Mac Leopard can be installed, but getting sound and wired or wireless to work on it isn't exactly easy.
To post 1:
I'd say if you want mac osx that bad, buy a Mac Mini, they're pretty cheep, starting at $600.
If you want to do it, that's fine, but keep in mind what I've stated above.
I know about legality issues.
I was interested if sound is running. I was told before short time, that my father will borrow mac mini for me, so I'll test.
I have windows, linux, so looking forward to mac!
Good luck with your test on the Mac Mini, the switch will be worth it, imo.
